Last night America witnessed greatness as President Obama for perhaps the last time spoke to a grateful nation. He spoke as only he can! His words resounded in poetic and rhetorical flourishes that bespoke the wisdom of the ages. President Obama has honored the office of the Presidency with his audacity of hope for nearly 8 years. In the anal’s of our history as a nation, only Lincoln could understand us as well and speak to our hearts with such gravitas and beauty.

Our President is a son of the heartland of America. His mother was from Kansas and his grandparents as well. He has had to deal with such indignities but he has risen above the fray. His administration has been a spotless example of scandal free politics. President Obama and his first Lady, Michele, have brought class, dignity and grace to the office.

His speech was a shining example of a person who understands America. President Obama reminded us of how great we are as a nation. Time after time he extolled the virtues of our values as a people. President Obama by deft touches excoriated Trumpism without mentioning the offending demagogue by name.

In what was a fond farewell, he helped pass the torch to our next president, Hillary Clinton.

It has been years since America has seen a President with such grace and class. It has been years since we have been inspired by such a man as President Obama. His soaring rhetoric has shown us the way to a better future for all Americans. We will be unlikely to see his likeness again in our lifetime. Sad but true, but we have been very fortunate to be touched by his wisdom and guidance. His presidency is one for the ages. Good night sweet prince! Thank you!
